Coinciding with the arrival of an all-new Infiniti M sedan in 2011, the M35 was succeeded by the more powerful M37. Drawing its bold, flowing lines from the Infiniti Essence Concept, the M37 presented a more sculpted and assertive exterior, blending aggressive stance with modern luxury appeal. Inside, Infiniti emphasized driver engagement and passenger comfort, combining finely crafted wood accents with soft-touch leather materials for a cabin experience rooted in refinement.
Technology played a major role in defining the M37. At its core, the vehicle was powered by a 3.7-liter V6 engine delivering 330 horsepower - more than the outgoing M35’s six-cylinder - yet with improved fuel efficiency. Both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive (M37x) variants were available, each mated to a responsive seven-speed automatic transmission.
By 2014, Infiniti adopted a new naming convention, unifying the M37 and the V8-powered M56 under the Q70 nameplate, signaling a fresh chapter for the model while maintaining its performance and luxury legacy.
