With only one engine option, the Infiniti G-Series wasn't really a match for the full lineup of German rivals from Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. But in terms of refinement, the 2013 G37 was a true contender in its price range and power output.
Part of the fourth generation of the Infiniti G-Series, the G-Sedan was a premium entry in the compact sedan market. It was praised for its interior craftsmanship, including high-quality, hand-stitched leather upholstery that gave it an upscale feel.
From the outside, the changes from the 2009 facelift were subtle, but notable. It came standard with 17” alloy wheels, replacing the older 16” setup. The front grille was mildly redesigned to appear sharper and more refined. Standard fog lights were integrated into the lower bumper. For the Sport 6MT version, a special Sport package was included, featuring a more aggressive front fascia, sport-style headlights, and side sills. HID bi-xenon headlights came standard, while the rear taillights were upgraded to LED units.
Inside, the G37 came equipped with heated front seats as standard. The audio system received a minor update, and a premium Bose sound system was available as an option. A new LCD display was also added to the instrument cluster, improving visibility and user interaction.
Although the G-Sedan came with just one engine option, buyers could choose between rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, as well as a six-speed manual or 7-speed automatic transmission, depending on the trim level.
