The Ford F-Series lineup begins with the F-150, with each subsequent model number indicating a larger vehicle – the F-250, F-350, F-450, and culminating in this unique creation, the Ford F-650 Super Truck, which was never actually produced by Ford themselves – quite understandably so!
However, the F-650 Supertruck did come into existence. Two decades ago, Chris and George Sticker, the owners of Southeast Utilities, grew frustrated with having to replace their F-350 trucks every three years. They initially planned to upgrade to SuperDuty F-650 models, but instead chose to build their own custom version. Their venture took off when someone offered to buy their first creation even before it was completed. Based in Augusta, Georgia, their business quickly expanded, resulting in the production of 62 trucks that same year.
This extraordinary vehicle started its life as a standard F-650 commercial truck, which was then transformed with an F-350 load bed, custom exhaust systems mounted behind the cab, bespoke front and rear bumpers, and numerous other custom modifications.
Under the hood, it’s equipped with a 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel engine producing slightly more than 300 horsepower and 750 pound-feet of torque. While these specifications may seem modest, it’s important to note that this vehicle was never intended for high-performance driving.
The truck features dual fuel tanks, each capable of holding 86 gallons (325 liters), giving a total capacity of 176 gallons (650 liters) of diesel. The system allows for tank switching, displaying the remaining range for each tank when the corresponding button is activated.
The F-650 Super Truck sits on massive wheels that previously cost $20,000, and it boasts a towing capacity of up to 29,000 pounds (13,154 kilograms).
