In 2022, Chevrolet unveiled a comprehensively updated version of its Blazer SUV, delivering significant enhancements across various aspects of the vehicle and reinvigorating this popular model.
Although the 2022 Blazer cannot match the legendary K5 Blazer’s off-road capabilities, it more than compensates with superior comfort and safety features that were lacking in its rugged predecessor.
General Motors equipped the new Blazer with an advanced Safety Package, incorporating cutting-edge systems such as Automatic Emergency Braking, Following Distance Indicator, Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, and IntelliBeam automatic high beam control.
Externally, the SUV received a stylish makeover with updated LED headlamps, daytime running lights, and rear lighting units. The front end showcased a redesigned fascia featuring a distinctive mesh-style grille that extended down to the lower bumper area. The new look was further enhanced by integrated fog light housings and a range of upgraded alloy wheels with sizes reaching up to 21 inches.
The interior benefited from a modernized infotainment system highlighted by a standard 10-inch touchscreen mounted on the center console. This was paired with an advanced TFT display integrated into the instrument panel, significantly enhancing the overall driving experience and onboard functionality.
Mechanically, the vehicle retained its previous engine options. The entry-level variant featured a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, while the top-of-the-line model was powered by a direct-injected 3.6-liter V6 engine.
