Cadillac aimed to maintain the strong sales performance of its CT5-V model and, towards the end of 2023, introduced updates to the mid-size sedan for the 2025 model year.
For decades, Cadillac has been synonymous with American luxury automobiles. When the brand ventured into the sports sedan segment, it produced several compelling models. Among them was the CT5-V, launched in 2019 for the 2020 model year. By 2023, this mid-size luxury vehicle had become Cadillac’s top-selling model globally. Consequently, the 2025 iteration built upon a proven foundation, positioning it well for continued strong sales—remarkably, despite being powered solely by internal combustion engines in an era dominated by electric vehicle sales.
General Motors made notable improvements to the CT5’s front fascia, giving it a more aggressive appearance. Along the sides, the tall, slim daytime running lights now flowed uninterrupted across the bumper as a continuous line. The black upper grille featured a black mesh design with the brand’s emblem prominently displayed. Below, in the apron area, the automaker added a second air intake accentuated by a body-colored splitter.
From the side profile, the CT5-V retained its cab-rearward design with an extended roofline that tapered toward the rear. The black B-pillars gave the vehicle a coupe-like appearance, despite being a four-door sedan—and not even a hatchback. At the rear, the 2025 CT5-V maintained a similar design to its predecessor, featuring corner-mounted LED taillights flanking the trunk lid. Below the bumper, Cadillac incorporated quad exhaust tips.
The interior showcased significant upgrades, greeted by a 33-inch curved display mounted on the dashboard. Although technically two separate screens—one for the instrument cluster and the other for the infotainment system—they appeared as a single unit due to their shared glass panel. The leather-covered, high-bolstered bucket seats provided both support and comfort. Front passengers were separated by a tall center console housing the gear selector and various storage compartments, including an armrest. The 2025 CT5-V featured Android Automotive, marking a substantial advancement for the American brand. While Apple CarPlay remained available, navigation was provided exclusively through Google Maps. The rear bench seat, profiled for two passengers, included three headrests, though the high transmission tunnel running front to back limited legroom for the middle passenger.
Powering the CT5-V were two bi-turbocharged engine options. The base model came with a 2.0-liter engine, while the more potent variant featured a 3.0-liter V6. The vehicle offered both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations, paired with a standard 10-speed automatic transmission.
