In 2021, Bentley unveiled the fourth iteration of its Bentayga SUV—the S-version—which was specifically engineered to deliver an exhilarating on-road driving experience while retaining its off-road capabilities.
Despite sharing its platform with the Porsche Cayenne and Audi Q7, the Bentayga stood out due to its superior build quality and luxurious materials. Production took place at Bentley’s carbon-neutral factory in Crewe, United Kingdom.
Externally, the S-version boasted several distinctive features compared to the standard Bentayga. Up front, it showcased smoked headlights and gloss-black lower bumpers. The trapezoidal lower grille and side air intakes were finished in black, while S-badges adorned the front doors. The sporty look was further enhanced by a set of exclusive 22-inch light-alloy wheels. At the rear, a black lower edge and split oval exhausts in black contributed to the vehicle’s aggressive appearance.
Inside, the cabin featured upgraded amenities such as redesigned bucket seats with higher bolsters and new door panel pads. The three-spoke steering wheel featured red stitching and aluminum trim on the lower section. S-badges were strategically placed throughout the cabin, including in front of the passenger and within the instrument panel.
Powering the vehicle was a 4.0-liter twin-scroll turbocharged engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. An advanced active suspension system, working in conjunction with the Electronic Stability Control and Bentley Dynamic Ride system, provided enhanced cornering performance and responsiveness.
